Workout Routine – 5/8/2023

There are days where you just don’t want to do anything. You don’t want to work. You want to lay in bed, sulk, and do absolutely nothing. Today was one of those days. But instead, I got myself out of bed, I went to work, made/ate dinner and dragged my sulky ass to the gym for legs / abs.

I would say before working out, I felt like a 4/10. After working out, I feel like a 6/10. And sometimes, we have to celebrate those very small accomplishments. I’m proud of myself and I’m hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Based on the predicted daily plan I made yesterday —

  • Mon 5/8 – Legs / absDone
  • Tues 5/9 – OFF
  • Wed 5/10 – Pull
  • Thurs 5/11 – Push
  • Fri 5/12 – Legs / abs; maybe do on my own… (my friend Meryl is visiting this weekend so I’m guessing I’ll see her Fri night… TBD on legs / abs)
  • Sat 5/13 – OFF
  • Sun 5/14 (Mother’s Day) – Pull

  • Squats with yellow bar (10 lbs)-

  • Lunges with yellow bar

  • Rocket jumps
    • Bodyweight
  • Calf raises
    • 3 sets of 10
  • Leg extension machine
    • 11.5 lbs

  • Leg lifts

  • Sit ups
    • 3 sets of 20
