Today is an off day for me.
Although I feel like we’ve been in a consistent groove and consistency is so important, I think it’s even more important to take a day to let your muscles and body rest.
Since I’ve been feeling good and seeing progress, I’m motivated to keep going. But having a day to recharge has really motivated me even more. I’ll feel even stronger and ready to take on tomorrow’s work out.
One thing you should do on an off day is eat good (whatever your definition of ‘good’ is.) In my case, eating good is just eating “a lot”. And “a lot” for me is high calorie foods. I definitely could’ve had a little bit more for lunch today, but I did have a pizza for dinner. Not sure if that is considered “healthy” but damn, it was GOOD.
As I lay here post-pizza, I’m letting my muscles recover so that we can bounce back even harder in the gym tomorrow. Biceps / triceps on the agenda for Friday.
